Good as New

I've been away from the computer for a little bit recently. Hurts too much to type. On the mend now, but sliced myself something fierce last week with my French Chef knife and had to have surgery. Yup. Surgery in Japan to mend the tendon in my pinky finger that I gashed.

Did it monday night and went to emergency to have it stiched up, but had to go back the next day to have it looked at by a specialist who opened my up and said come back in the afternoon for surgery. Later that day I was opened up again and cut me more to stitch the tendon, and have been in some awkward pain. But things are looking good now. very little pain, and getting more and more mobility each day.

So here we have the finger in question. Not pretty to look at, but try sleeping with it when you roll over all the time. The upper slice is my doing, and the lower one is where the surgeon sliced to work on the insides.

On the bright side, I have learned a lot of new medical words, and have gotten pretty good at using chopsticks with my left hand ^^
